What we collect

• Contact and delivery details you give us at checkout: name, email, phone, delivery address.
• Order history, including the products purchased and amounts paid.
• Basket contents, so we can help you complete an order you started.
• Anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, used to improve the shop.

Why we use it

We process your data to fulfil your order (contract), to answer enquiries and recover unfinished baskets (legitimate interests), and to meet accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation). We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the parties needed to complete your order: our delivery carriers, our payment provider, and our accountants. All processors act under contract and within the UK or an adequate jurisdiction.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to satisfy HMRC requirements. Abandoned basket data is deleted after 90 days. Analytics data is retained in aggregate only.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email sales@solentmarine.shop and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary storage in your browser to remember your basket and, for staff, to keep an admin session open. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
